BeoLink App for iPhone and iPod Touch1) expands your access to Bang & Olufsen2) products and home automation through advanced product integration. You can now experience the freedom anytime, anywhere.
Among the central and novel ideas of the BeoLink App, was to take advantage of swipes so that basic functions like volume control, channel up and down, etc., would not require the user to glance at the iPhone. Also, the BeoLink App GUI automatically auto-configures itself in a snap from the Master Link Gateway settings, giving always a clean, consistent and unclutter user experience independent of the complexity of the home A/V and automation network.
Requirements and Installation
What do you need in order to enjoy BeoLink via the iPhone?
- BeoLink compatible products
- Bang & Olufsen Master Link Gateway with firmware 1.40 or up
- A home wireless network
Please ask your Bang & Olfusen dealer which of your products are compatible with BeoLink.
You will also require a Bang & Olufsen installer to set up Master Link Gateway in your home for use with the BeoLink for iPhone application.
Master Link Gateway is a Bang & Olufsen product that connects your B&O audio and video products to your home network and home automation systems.
BeoLink Demo mode
You can experience the look and feel of the BeoLink application right now; BeoLink has a demo mode with a hypothetical configuration that you can test.
This demo mode will not perform any action on your home network or your products. It’s there so you can test the user interface.

Ikatu developed the concept behind the BeoLink application in close cooperation with Bang & Olufsen. Our R&D team worked on the specification, design and implementation of the application, and its integration with Master Link Gateway.
