We do not see objects; we see light

From the book: Light, Science & Magic

Light, as abstract matter, becomes visible only when it is reflected by objects and surfaces that surround us.

From this point of view, architectural lighting lines up architecture with the poetry of the phenomenal experience, shaping perceived sensations.

For us, at Ikatu, working with light means working with a tool that allows us to express sensations and communicate emotions.

From this point of view, our main objective is to create a lighting solution according to the concepts and ideas of designers and architects as well as satisfying the needs and desires of the final users of the designed spaces.

We believe that teamwork along with a precise process is the best way to achieve this goal.

One of the first steps of our lighting design process is to define the concepts and the desired effects of light for the specific project. Once the first step is completed, the selection of the proper lighting tools takes place.

When these stages are defined we carry out the executive project, taking care of all the details needed for the accurate completion of the lighting project.

Erco luminaires, from Germany, is one of our main brands. We share their philosophy of light and luminaires, where light and its effects are the most important subject, and where the design of the luminaries follows that premise.

Together with Lutron and Crestron control devices, we compose scenes integrating light with other systems to create magical ambients.
